Throughout its history, the group has always placed the human being at the heart of its strategy and prioritized the collective over the individual, convinced that the women and men who contribute to its harmonious growth are its first resource, its main asset and that their differences are its strength.
It is therefore quite natural that this constant permeated the company from the very beginning, laying the foundations of its deep identity and leading to an inclusive and participative management style where each employee, under the impetus of attentive general management, combines know-how, talent and a sense of common effort, thus freeing his or her sense of initiative and creativity.

For us, our Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) policy is not just a concept, it is our daily life, our moral compass, a state of mind that lives in each of us.
Our policy is clearly defined, pragmatic and focused on optimal well-being for all our stakeholders. It is applied in all hierarchical levels of the Group with particular vigilance in the execution of our projects.
This voluntary approach is accompanied by significant resources invested in awareness-raising and training and is subject to regular and rigorous health and safety control procedures.
At a time when respect for the environment is becoming increasingly important, when energy consumption and the notion of the carbon footprint are becoming omnipresent and the concept of intelligent and sustainable buildings is becoming more widespread, quality and environmental protection are merging and becoming complementary and inseparable issues.
SERTEM, as a developer of real estate programs which claims to be a major contributor to a renewed urban development in Africa, cannot project itself into the future without putting in place the most advanced environmental and quality policies.
Our policy in this area is simple:
• Satisfy and advise our clients at all phases of the development process of their projects: before, during and after.
• Establish a climate of trust between all stakeholders by relying on immediate and transparent communication allowing for responsiveness and adaptability.
• To generalize good reflexes in terms of environmental protection at all stages of construction sites and to guarantee the clean-up of sites before delivery.
In our emerging countries, where too many of our fellow citizens are still vulnerable, access to energy is a fundamental issue. Access to electricity for all remains a priority.
It is the key to opening up more favorable horizons for its populations, combating exclusion and poverty and ensuring national cohesion.
For us emergence has real value only if it is shared. For this reason, the group has committed itself to a sustainable program to facilitate access to energy for the greatest number of people throughout our national territory.
This is what we are, what are our convictions and our commitments ... those of a group with a human face that wants to be a citizen, responsible and supportive.
Sertem Groupe is honored to join the United Nations Global Compact.Launched inJuly 2000 by former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the Global Compact is a framework of commitment which revolve around upholding ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
Through this pact, we incorporate its principles into our strategies, policies and procedures, and by instilling a culture of integrity, we not only live up to our fundamental responsibilities to people and the planet, but we also pave the way for lasting success.
